Can someone help me with injection timing please. I've read posts on hp tuner site and tried the spread sheet.. which I can't figure out since I'm not really good with excel!! I'm confused!
Here is a picture of my cam card. Car is a '14 ls3.

Thank you

Does anyone in here tune the injection timing for the new cam overlap and change in valve openings? Or just nobody wants to be friendly enough to help out??

I only did it for my LLT V6 engine with longer duration cams. I aimed to start the injection when the exhaust valve closed minus the lag time. My engine is direct injection though, so it sprays for less than 4 milliseconds.

I think on the LS3 you control when the end of injection is. Best way to find out what your setup likes is to add 5 degrees to it, see how the engine responds. Then go the opposite way to see if it is better.

I was hoping for a little better explanation or help than this. I was looking for help with boundary and the ECT table?
Thanks tho

You're probably going to need to bring this over to the HPTuners forum. I have lightly dug into injection timing, and any meaningful information I have found was over there.

Interesting cam you have there - what led you to choose that?

On the injection timing based on coolant temp table. Subtract 15-20 and call it good. You can watch your wb02 in open loop and see when it stop getting richer than stop. It's also trial and error when street tuning at low speeds when surging is occurring. Keep in mind I use efi live. Tables may differ slightly but I don't believe in using that formula and Greg banish' s DVDs mention delaying it buy how many degrees the intake lobe is bigger than oem can
