Whipple 2.9 - 6rib 3.5" pulley

I am starting this thread for future searchers.
I have a Whipple kit on my SS.
I've been on the 3.75" pulley, stock 6 rib drive with no slippage.
I'm greedy so I just installed a 3.5" 6rib pulley.
I searched pretty heavily here and found two people saying it worked for them and several saying they got major slip. That's why I'm making this thread, everything I found was random posts.
I took it out and I have no slip yet, I was only able to build boost up to around 8psi so far because it is pretty cold out and I have no traction.
The car is going to the Dyno next weekend so I will be updating this thread of it holds or slips.
This car has the Corvette style front drive on it, so it has a little better belt wrap than the typical Camaro Whipple setup. I think that might be it's saving Grace in this case.

I know what you mean, I had the same problem when searching around.

I've been running a 3.25" on the 6-rib for a few months now with no slip. And that's with an 8" balancer. My tuner said he's done a 3" before but recommends stopping at 3.25". Yours has got some good wrap.

Wrap is not the issue with the whipple tensioner as you increase RPM tension gets tighter to the point of almost 360 degrees. I’m seeing most issues are setting incorrect tension. Whipple has two different tensioner measurements depending on the model year.

Well it didn't slip.
The car made 729/619 to the rear tire on 10.5psi. Boost is solid for now. I'll keep this updated if anything changes.
I think the Corvette front drive makes the difference.

While doing a search my own thread came up! Just to update this thread, I ran the 3.5" pulley with great success, no slip on the standard Whipple 6 rib 3.5" pulley. I then moved down to a 3.25" pulley but I went with a Griptec 6 rib pulley, there was no slip with the Griptec 3.25" 6 rib pulley either.
Now things are getting a little more serious so I did the ten rib conversion with a 2.85" pulley and a 8.19" ATI balancer.
