Changing camps

Let me start by saying I have never been a brand loyalist, but my last four vehicles have been Dodge/Chrysler products. (the SRT line) However, this new Camaro just stirs my soul. I joined this forum to learn some history about the Camaro and in the spring, purchase one! So my question is, is there room for one more new Chevy guy?

'Fast1', Welcome! And ABSOLUTELY! There's room for you, and anyone else who wants to be part of a great community of enthusiasts.

What are the SRT models you've owned?

Thanks for joining!

Welcome to Camaro5! We always welcome new members. There seem to be quite a few of them heading this way as the camaro has done that for a lot of people

I agree...I'm a newbie looking, too, for a possible change. And I was somewhat hesitant to post on here as my car is not a GM product (even though some of the best cars my wife and I have owned have been GM's). When I read MT's review of the new Camaro, I told a buddy of mine that his new Roush Mustang appears to have met its match.

While I've been partial to Ford (even since I was a kid), my mind's been changed after Ford beat me up over an on-going repair on my current vehicle, I told my wife, "It's time for a change from Ford." So, come 2010, my next vehicle will probably either be this new Camaro, or possibly the Porsche Cayman S. I sure like the lines of this new Camaro, though.

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

I started with an 03 srt-4, went to an 04 srt-10 Viper truck, and now I have an 06 srt 8 Cherokee. Last month I was seriously considering the Challenger, but decided to hold out for the Camaro. The Chally is nice, but it doesn't have that special something that the Camaro does.

Actually, you're right. I had a Dodge Durango (not an srt) before these three.

Welcome to the General's Army. I've always respected the Mopar stuff, an old friend had a Challenger that made me consider doing time.
