I did buy it. $399 for 5 years. Covers everything but curbs. I figure for that price you couldn't even replace a tire.... Good deal IMO.

Covers the Tire and Rim of damage from potholes, nails, crap in the road, anything basically except curbs. They will replace the tire and/or rim at no cost to you for 5 full years. $399 for that was a steal IMO.

bnut im guessing it would have to have porper wear and tear, like no burnouts tires being changed Im guessing that the ppirellis would last up to 75k(km) so it wouldnt be worth it for me. Unless its completely covered and i can smoke some tires up!

the only thing im thinking the way most dealers are they will say you hit a curb anyway . driving home one day i was driving behind a suv he swerved to the right and i went straight and ran over a muffler in the road it cut my side wall and rashed my rim looks like i hit a curb .i just dont want to argue with them about what really happened . you know dealers they will say anything to make it your fault .does anyboddy here have any on goings with this insurance

I used to sell cars; dealers devise many schemes to inflate their profits. All of it's a rip.

I feel like insurance companies do alot of ripping on their own. I mean insurance used to mean something entirely different than it does today.

Today's insurance policies have a longer list of what they DON'T cover than what they do cover. And inevitably in the car insurance biz, especially the car biz, the adjusters will adjust you right out of valuable repair dollars b/c of this/that/depreciation/the sun was in your eyes...it's nature's fault etc etc.

I once made a claim on an S-10 that I crashed and the insurance company depreciated my paint at a rate of 20% a year so that they wouldn't have to pay me for a full paint job.:(

I didn't even think about this, even though I've been whining about $400 tires for 2 months now.

Dealers will probably try to sell it to the same ones that buy the 21" wheels, those are probably the only ones that wouldnt know any better. Dealers love to sell people extra insurance and warranties, because it isnt the salesman that has to deal with them when it comes in for sevice, its the service writer. Ive seen several cases where the salesman has sold a warranty that the dealership service department didnt even accept.
