I have set it to auto for more than half a year now! Have not had to touch it since!

First time I got the car I accidently had it on manual or whatever the setting is and I didn't realize I left my head lights on for half a day. I could not figure out the ding ding ding noise and what it meant as I walked out of the car.

I do not need to see it. I just reach with my left hand it there on the knob. This just like some are saying the steering wheel volume control should be on the left hand side. It is ok where it is at. All your audio controls are on the right side. I guess this is a right or left handed problem.

I have no problem locating and operating my knob even though it is hidden.
