I'm not going to vote on this because I'm not making it to Camaro Fest but I will say I owned the fifth gen V6 I've test driven the 6th gen 4 cylinder turbo and I have the 6th gen V6 on Factory order right now all three cars are quite different they should race against their own class and you probably don't want to put a 5th gen 6 against the 6th gen 6 because that's going to be pretty unfair. Even the 6th gen 4 cylinder turbo would probably take out the fifth gen V6 9 out of 10 times. You might want to consider placing in the 6th gen V6 into the 4th gen stock V8 category.

There will always be that issue. What we're having this discussion for is an alternative to the V6 crowd not getting enough to have 2 classes Stock & Modified to prevent the issues from last year. I do understand your POV on this and I agree, but then you'll have the Modified I4's running stock 4th Gen V8's as well if you used that logic.

I totally see what you're saying but what I was kind of leaning towards was stock cars not modified up until about a year ago I had a 2002 Z28 stripper LS1 6-speed manual I have to say the new V6 feels like you're driving an LS1 Z28 I have also driven the turbo car like yours fantastically fun card by the way love how the torque kicks it I think that would be a fair race for a fourth gen Camaro previous to the LS1 93 - 97 stock for stock. As far as the fifth gen V6 it's a good Cruiser but I don't think you should race it against any of the new generation unless if it's just for fun and nothing else because it's completely unfair to them

Speaking for myself here. I would love to win drags but with a stock I4 Turbo, i do not expect to hit the 10s and/or win. Maybe against other Stock I4s, but it doesn't seem like there are any (on the forum) that are going. Doing this more for fun and seeing what my car individually can do. Wish I had the money, then I would give Kevin and ADP a run for their money

I just wanna have fun racing my car down the strip. You can't compare a 5th Gen to a 6th Gen in the same way you can't do it with a 4th and 3rd same story different era. Shit i'm running up against etmx for fun I don't expect to beat his car by a long shot.

That's what i'm hoping for not holding my breath on beating the SS's quite yet I haven't been to the dragstrip in years need to get back into it before camarofest so I can at least launch my car.

I know old stock dyno picture but i'm definitely coming. Looking forward to my first drag racing experience in a very long time. Wish I had got on the track beforehand to dial myself and the tune in but we can't always have our cake and eat it all at once anyway.
