Filler Cap question

All of the Camaro photos that I've seen so far have the gas filler on the passenger side. Is this where it's really going to be? Just seems odd. I was hoping that it would really be on the driver's side or in the rear like my '69. Does anyone know if it's officially going to be on the passenger side?

A lot of cars have passenger fuel doors, including the one I drive right now. That is the final placement for the Camaro.

Thanks, guess I never really noticed it on US cars. My boss' new Mercedes has it on the passenger side, but I thought it might be a European thing. Since, I've never owned a car with a passenger side filler, do you find it a pain at the pump?

Huge pain. You can only get gas at stations that either have pumps on the right or have really long hoses.

I've never had a right hand gas fill. I was actuall hoping it would be on top like the concept.

As for filling in the back, although it filled on the side, i'm thinking Pinto put an end to rearend gas tanks.

why would it be a pain? most gas stations ive seen have pumps with hoses for both sides, you just have to pull in on the left of the pump instead of the right now...

tho if it were my choice....

1. on the top like the concept
2. on the drivers side
3. i guess on the pass side...

i find it much easier. as you pointed out most cars have the gas cap on the drivers side meaning most people have to pull up to that side. generally it seems as though its easier to find an open gas pump as most people have to go the other way

My current car...yes the beretta in my sig...has the filler on the passenger side. It does not make a difference what side it is on just which way you pull in. I like it on the passenger side. This way you have less of a chance of hitting your door on one of those little poles at the pumps. Im happy cause i will be used to it when my Camaro gets here.

Is that for real? The gas cap is on the passenger side and gas stations are not road ways park with the side of the car that the filler is on beside the pump. Please say this wasn't for real and you aren't all this stupid. It reminds me of an episode of married with children were Al cut and rewelded 7 shaped braces to make them L shaped.
