You might have to be very persistant like Scott.

Also what's you vin # or build date. My vin # is 8446 and it was built on 5/7and my car runs good.

Maybe we can find a pattern or group of cars that are having performance issues.
Vin #230

I'm not sure. You should give them a call. It shouldn't be that much for just a couple quick dyno runs. It can get a little expensive if you also want your car tuned.

I would call them and just tell them you think your car isn't running right and you want a baseline dyno run (no tuning) and see how much they will charge.

Someone mentioned VVT might not be working. If it is stuck in cam advance mode for a smooth idle, but will not go to retard mode at high RPM, you could lose a bunch of hp up top. My 05 CTS had VVT and if I floored it at speed, the trans would immediately downshift, but it took a couple seconds for the hydraulic cam phasers to adjust to high RPM mode. When they did, it almost felt like a turbo kicking in.

That being said, a VVT malfunction would throw a code I would think.

I once read a post by someone who was familiar with new car production that said it takes about 70,000 cars to work the intial bugs out of a new model. If that's true, I guess we have about 50,000 to go.

Anyway, I am guessing they will figure this one out soon- it is obviously not normal (my 05 GTO A4 explodes to 60 in comparison and still has torque management enabled) and too many people are having the problem.

Something is NOT right. It shouldn't be shifting that soon. When I am getting on the car, I have a manual and don't have to shift until I am at 52MPH, that is just before the rev limiter kicks in. 2nd to 3rd gear shifts at 75 and 3rd to 4th is at 108.

Your shifts are at 33 and 62.that ain't right

Something with the computer controlling the shifting and traction control is not letting you have fun yet.

I don't have a automatic so I can't tell you what, or help any further other than to tell you that ain't right

The gearing is different in the L99 A6.

1st gear redline = 37mph
2nd gear redline = 64 mph

Here's the full break down.

Maximum speeds in the auto(manual) LS/LT
1- 43(39)
2- 75(69)
3- 115(109)
4- 153(149)
5- 210(178)
6- 265(237)

Maximum speeds the auto (manual) SS
1- 37(52)
2- 64(81)
3- 99(111)
4- 132(159)
5- 180(189)
6- 227(280)

WOW, that's huge

He also isn't any where close to the rev limiter the first shift though and a little closer when shifting into 3rd

That was a typo (2nd gear redline)

Redline in 1st is 37mph
Redline in 2nd is 64 mph
