Had to get rid of the beast ... sad day
I was rear-ended a couple of months ago with only a little over 800 miles on the car. There was significant structural damage and the car didn't seem to be very safe to be driven so i decided to get rid of it. I loved that car and can only hope to buy another one soon ... might wait till the 2011s come out though. It's a sad day for me, it was hard saying bye to that awesome beast.

what didn't seem safe about it? was it not fixed properly? if it was fixed properly, it should have been ok....no?

The repair shop couldn't guaranty that it was repaired to factory specs. It was repaired as well as humanly possible and no one could say how it would react if it was in another collision. I sold the car to the highest bidder.

I had an 06 Mustang GT that suffered a similar fate, but not at 800 miles, that is a truly heartbreaking deal.

Weird...I would make sure the shop could repair it to factory specs...that's the purpose of insurance. If they can't, then the car should have been totaled.
