GrandSport is a blast. I'll definitely be out there and MSR Houston as well.

That thing is awesome... we toured the plant last month and when I asked about Zora all I got were shoulder shrugs.

Saw a ton of ZR1s but no sign of this unicorn.

Those are the best pics yet.

It needs to be quicker round the 'Ring than the ZL1 1LE though... Notice how quiet it went on the ZR1 front... They lapped it a lot and I don't believe it went quicker!!

The Z06 went went quicker.. It takes a lot of time, money and red tape before they can release these times.

And luck. There's only a small window at the end of the manufacturing week where GM does their 'hero laps'. If the weather is bad, or there is a mechanical problem, the lap doesn't happen.

Yeah lets not forget that during one of their lapping events, it was snowing in sections of the 'Ring. Much like the Z/28 where it was raining on one half of the lap, thats all you've got, if you dont get your time in you have to wait to try again some other time.

Ever since the Ring went bankrupt they charge huge fees for this stuff, but it's probably the best spent marketing money that GM spends.

It gives us all something to talk about for sure. Watching Bill manhandle at ZLE was a work of art. BUT...for me personally...what matters more is the Motortrend BDC and CD Lightning laps...etc. Because those are two tracks I can actually go to and run. The Ring is a great benchmark, because it will essentially let you know whether or not you have a car capable of taking on other tracks. Really study the ZR1 lap at VIR, and you can tell that is a good car. The way Jim drives it, not even the Ring can upset that car.

Edit: The ZLE Camaro is still better though...
