thanks miester that explained it very good. i think i'll hold off on waiting for the HUD i'll probably being staring at it to much to see how fast i'm going instead of paying attention to what's going on the road.

How can it take 2 years to get the HUD ??? That is one thing that I will be upset about (not having it), one of those little things that will bug you about your 'perfect' car.

There is just NO way can I wait for HUD.... I am having a hard enough time waiting for them to shoot out some white SS's... By the way Thanks to all for the pics... I can smell that new car smell already. (I Should have saved my D1....charger.....)

A quick question regarding exhaust....

I noticed the picture of the cat-back exhaust on the poster in this thread. My concern is that the exhaust system shown there is NOT a true dual exhaust. It is the same exhaust system that was used in old Camaro's, which limited their sound potential. I thought for sure the new Camaro was getting a true dual exhaust system. And I could have sworn that the pictures we saw of the SS on the car carrier showed a true dual exhaust system. Can anyone confirm if the picture on that poster is inaccurate, or if they changed the final design to msingle-exhaust?

I agree.. Of all the items I really want, the HUD is probably on the top of the list. However waiting a whole other year is almost a lifetime. Especially haviing to see Camaro's on the road all over the place.. I really think GM should make an effort to get the HUD in for pre-ordering next month...

I couldn't care less about the HUD. It seems like an unnecessary trinket. I would love to have that different grille, though. That is sweet.

Even if they have a basic HUD now... and a serious upgrade for later... Ill take the basic one over waiting 2 years or not having one.

LOL I will SALE my soul for this car lol..j/p but on a more serious note I just cannot wait to see the vision for my camaro become a reality..and whats this madness about the HUD..why even mention it if we cant get it right away..and does anyone think that bumping those 21's up an inch to 22's would make a difference in the handeling?

no pricing was not released, and they still dont know when it will be, they said they hope by october 13th when we make orders, but they just dont think so.
