I have added this list of things we are needing for the stone mountain meet on the stone mountain thread. If you can head over there and pick something to sign up for if you haven't already that would be great. We are still in need of a few things like grilling tongs, spatulas, and grill brush....additional side items...and CLEAN coolers for ice for drinks ect.

Greetings!

I now have the "pleasure" to choose my first set of replacement tires for my Camaro. I have 24400 on the stock and need to decide on a new set - stick with Pirelli or choose something different.

I want to ask what tires the members of the Atlanta "community" are using on their stock SS rims?

I use Pirelli and also Toyota Proxes 4+. Both have had excellent wear and I drive in the winter time without issue. I dont track my car.

How many miles did you get with the PZero and the 4+. I don't do that much aggressive driving, however I want some longevity to my summer tire. I just don't like the fact that the PZero only got me 24k miles. I would really love to be able to get the the Michelin Pilot Super Sport or the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar.

I got 38k out of the Pirelli and astonishingly I have 50k miles on Toyos and still going! ( but getting close). Only 2 quick burnouts launching hard on my tires and they are mostly interstate driven with several drives through the mountains.

I can get more miles on them until they are slick, however I-20 is notorious for hydroplaning. I wil check on the Proxies and the Continental ExtremeContact DW.

If you're wanting more than 24k I wouldn't suggest the Goodyear. Michelin is very pricey and if you aren't driving aggressively, would be sort of a waste to get that kind of tire. From a couple of the other users I've heard the nitto motivo is a good tire and they have a 500+ utqg rating.
