Front Bow Tie Removal

I'm sure you guys are getting tired of my bow tie questions, I have one more for now.

I want to remove the front bow tie and I couldn't find specific instructions on how to do here.

Could anyone give me a idea of how to go about removing it with out tearing it or the grill up. I want to take it off to paint it and then put it back on.

Thanks

All you do is take hold and pull, all that holds it in is four pressure clips. If you have something thin and made out of plastic, you can use it to help work it out. Sounds harder than what it is!!!

For the front you will need to remove the bumper (At least i did) I suggest taking out the fender liner to make the bolts mare accessable. there are three bolts on each side of the bumper. Two on top. All the buttons on top. and two on the bottom. then simply remove the bumper and undo the wiring clip. Once the bumber is removed there is 4 "clips" or anchors holding it in push all of them in and remove the bowtie.

The rear bowtie is taped on. Pour a ton of 3m adhesive remover over it and use something plastic to pry it off

I'd take a picture but my wife is out drinking with the camera. If you need pics let me know. The car is dissambeled right now.

World of Wheels: Pics of the front bumper would be great if you get a chance to.

SO can you just pull the front one off or do you HAVE to take the bumber off?

No! No! and No! The front bowtie is held in by four pressure clips! All you have to do is grab hold and work it out, you can use something to help pry, but make sure it will not scratch the plastic. Picture of back of grill and bowtie in below thread, Nice and easy!!

It's very easy to remove/replace. We put a billet bowtie on our Camaro. Here is link to our blog on how to remove/install

Do a search, the directions were actually posted last night. You must have missed it.
