Lights on mirror wont turn off.

Like the title says, the three red, white, and blue lights on my mirror wont turn off. I noticed this today when I went to get in my car. Any ideas? Its a 2014 SS with no nav or anything.

Call Onstar. If they can't help it's dealer time.

They don't turn off. They're supposed to be on so you can see which button to push if you need to while you are driving.

Are those lights on without the ignition being on?

Yes they are on with the ignition off. I noticed it walking to my car this morning before I unlocked it or anything. I think tonight I will disconnect the battery for a bit and see if that does anything. This happened out of the blue with no other changes to anything

miller8907,

Sorry that your mirror's lights won't turn off. I understand the displeasure when dealing with a matter like this. Although you're seeking opinions from others, I'd be happy to communicate your concerns with the Customer Experience Managers (CEM) at your GM dealer of choice. Please know that you're welcome to message us privately if you would like to discuss this further, or if you simply want this matter documented.

Sincerely,

William R.

A little update. The lights function normally now. I didnt do anything to try and fix it. I figured it couldnt be too much of a drain on the battery and I could give it a few days and see what happens and now they are fine. Still not sure what caused it.
