The 42 lb injectors were at 90+ duty cycle so I went bigger to avoid a failure. Lots of folks run boost a pumps, so they must be fine.

Yea its all duty cycle related I run a mild cam, only stage 3 only 613/578 lift milder duration for now and use stock pump and injectors, someday; larger cam ls7 small bore heads then upgrade along with a MSD intake, 102, etc... I went for torque and knew it would take time to further upgrade. SO it depends on how radical you want to go initially, just as in a non stroker build. We use what we think of as cams that are high lift while some use stuff we cant even dream of in the 750 lift etc special blocks etc way beyond $ for the average camaro enthusiasts cam install build.
And cam can make all the difference in the world if you want one thing versus the other, wider under the curve larger torque area higher average power can be a wider LSA, versus higher power, then theres duration and lift.... one gets less stress with more duration but less lift as far as spring pressure but overlap matters, timing matters...basically I am saying everything matters..... If you want some high lift large duration tight LSA gas gulper that gets the best HP number on paper that's one thing; having the best street car with higher low end torque and along the board that can be a different cam making a car faster actually as torque is what moves you...…… Old Motor Head wisdom....there is no substitution for the cubic inch solution.... Blowers in effect add cubes think about it.... the big boys running 500-600 cubes etc with massive turbos and blowers spraying massive compression changes to in effect make the engine act as though it was even larger in a way as making power can be in any number of ways. The good deal is our stock heads flow very well on the LS engine and support up to big numbers pretty well. And a stroker should net you at least 40 ft lbs. And that comes on early if the cam determines some of it ...yes, but its just built into it with the larger throw of the crank and cubes.....and the cam determines more of where its power comes on and how long and where...and how much gas its going to need also..... and the demands on the system. We are in effect a air pump. Good Luck, going big a upgrade could not hurt if you don't plan on being retuned someday in the future with further upgrades, but also you may not need a upgrade immediately but can do it down the road as the cars going to use what it is needing for gas and the duty cycle will tell you. Every thing of course costs$.....

NO you need a tune , I have had my car tuned many times with different engines./ etc. Your volumetric efficiency will change you will take in more air and use more gas making more power and tweaking of the tune will be best rather than depending on the stock computer to go towards Stoich. The air pump will be making much more power stroked especially torque, but if the tuners good they should give discount hopefully for tweaking the tune on the dyno as its not like it totally has to be retuned and most tuners have with time if they are good a library of tunes from similar builds they can just throw one in there to start out even initial tunes for new engines...…..as it saves them time, a good baseline to start out tweaking the tune with.

Okay so now that we have an idea where the stock injectors max out at, let's talk about the N/A limits of the stock SS pump. Anyone have any experience with this?

One thing to note though, is that your Chevy SS comes factory with the ZL1 pump
