Okay so I got the 760t and the h105. I'm keeping my current MB but I'm looking at selling my i7 4770k. It's stable with a 4.4 GHz OC and hasn't had much use so let me know if you're interested.

So I figured I would show off my rig now that I have it mostly done. I am waiting for the 800 series GeForce cards to come out and get a better card, or I might SLI with another 760.

I haven't read all the posts here, but I prefer to buy a nicer PC (like a dell XPS) and then mod and upgrade it as needed that. Kinda like what we do with our cars. The only problem with Dell is that the XPS isn't a hardcore gaming rig anymore. My old XPS gen 5 was the size of a mini fridge and it was the most badass PC they sold... It could handle Doom 3 with ease lmao!

Yeah I can imagine that you also get the most satisfaction out of building it up from scratch. I just look at the thing as a game console that can also do Microsoft office.

Most of them are games that I truly enjoyed on 360 and that I knew I wanted to play again but with PC graphics. Sent from my HTC One_M8 |

Yeah Steam's prices will turn any computer into a gaming rig eventually. I go nuts on Steam buys around the holidays. Last edited by 6bangerBOOM; 08-01-2014 at 02:00 AM. |

I purchased my 760 as a temporary card, as this is my first real desktop I didn't have any parts to transfer over. I will be getting a 870 or 880 shortly after their release, the 760 isn't powerful enough to play most new titles on Ultra at 1080 while still getting a playable 60FPS. Only thing I would do differently now is not get the Corsair RM Series PSU. |

I know the Z97 is Broadwell compatible, but I was waiting for prices to drop on the Z97 type boards when newer ones are released. However, a strong case is being made for me to purchase a PS4 for multiplayer. The scale is slowly tipping. I may end up with a budget system (my original budget minus the cost of a PS4 + destiny) but still don't know yet. Maybe when you get the 880, I can purchase your old parts. =) |
