XM has lots of offers. Do this: Call them and tell them you're unhappy with the service and they will offer you a very nice discount to stay. The CSR's you talk to when you call XM are sales people who get a commission to sell their product, updates, contracts etc and they have the power to cut you a deal on the spot.

Better read the fine print, you'll have to call them when the 5 months is up to cancel or it's automatically renewed at $12.95 a month.

I want to say thanks for showing this here. I just got my 5 months for $25 on my Z06 !!

Just for a heads up. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD!! I asked them to send me a paper bill and I will send them an electronic check so they can't auto renew.

Well worth it.

DAMMIT! I want my $5 lol...

Better yet, do what I do, and go to a store or gas station and buy the XM purchase card. They come in 25-50 dollar portions and can be used towards your subscription.

I think they offered me $77 for a year..I actually liked that deal. When I go to renew it says tech. error and I must call their 1-800 number.....yea, how about that.

i got my xm for 5 bucks a month for the entire year. I was driving on a saturday night with wifey in tow and it went out on us. I dj i like listening to talk shows and different and old stuff now and again. Hate listening to the stuff i have on my harddrive all the time. So we called it in and they offered $7 a month for 6 months, or if i went for the year paid in full for $5. I am happy with it thus far, although some of the channels really suck.

I know we aren't going to have football next year story for another time, but it helps when i dont' have money to go to the bar and watch the game. Especially if they are not broadcasting it! Damn nfl network!

I use my iPod mostly now anyways. XM is up at the end of the month and don't think I will miss it. Except maybe for Blue Collar Radio.

Be careful..I was on a promotional with xm for a year. When the promo was up they upped my bill to 25 ...not 12.95 a month... the wifey called in an reamed them a new arse and they lowered it back down and credited us for the overpayment..the only way wd found out is about a month ago some lowlife (not from xm) stole our credit card info and was making charges so the card company closed our account and issued us new cards . So when XM went to bill us 25bucks for another month they couldn't.. The wife didn't give them the new card number.I may be done with xm once my subscription is up...My Droid makes it possible to hear about anything I want to so Opie and Anthony will be about all I miss...
