Yup, I'll probably wait until I'm about 25 too to buy the car, and give me time to build up some credit.

Well I don't even have a credit card. I have a debit card, so I don't use more money then I actually have. Then again I'm pretty good at keeping tabs on my money so I think I'll be okay as long as I can actually save up the money And I've never had any trouble with financing.

At 25 insurance premiums generally fall drastically as well.

Funny someone mentioned checking your credit score. I did that just the other day. About 700 at the moment actually.

Anyway I'm 23 now...and plan to be done school this Spring and work for at least a year with a decent job. I'll wait till I'm 25 to buy the car for lower insurance purposes.

thanks for the great advice btw
If you want higher credit, just call and ask the bank. If you've been good w/ you CC's, then there should be no problem raising the limit. I had a 2,000 cap on mine and one day I called. It was raised quite a bit w/out a problem.

I've had a 8500 cap on my CC and have had it for about 8 years. I plan on asking for a raie on my credit to 15k here in the next two years. That's all I expect to have to pay after my down payment.

nope...I've asked. Its a student thing. They say without a co-signer they won't raise the limit on the card. Either way...it won't be a problem as I'm done with Grad School this spring!

Its definitely worth it. I don't want to be one of the talking head professors so I'm finishing up my masters, gonna work for a while, and then consider a Phd in a few years. I love grad school, but being around so many really smart and articulate people all the time gives you a little bit of an inferiority complex.
