Speed Inc Customer Car - Magnuson TVS 2300 603rwhp 543rwtq

Speed Inc. just completed the Magnuson TVS 2300 install on my 2010 LS3 car. The car is brand new with 22.5 miles on the clock.

The install consists of: Magnuson TVS 2300, blower cam, Rotofab CAI, Stainless Steel Works headers and cat back, boost a pump and 3.6 pulley.

The first pull netted 580rwhp, second 590rwhp and the final still running a safe tune and lower boost levels turned out 603rwhp & 543rwtq.

Attached dyno of final run:

If I am not mistaken Larry @ Speed Inc. told me it is about 6lbs. He will be posting the video of the before and after dynos and the final technical details. Remember this was done to a car that never saw a single mile of customer driving and still has less than 25 miles on it. I cant wait to see this after the motor loosens up a bit

Great results! I wondered what it would take to break the magical 600 rwhp number...

I'm assuming that if it's a blower cam, it isn't too aggressive, but how's the driveability?

The car has a mild cam - nothing major and efficient for blower applications.

The car has not been driven yet but from my understanding it should have great street manners - I believe most of the blown Camaros still have near stock manners but are animals once you step into them.

Dont take this the wrong way, but I doubt it is at 6psi. Maybe 8 or 9 for those numbers.

Great numbers!! bit please verify where that boost level is, if you want the car to last that is. That is just my humble opinion. There are plenty of cars out there running 8-9psi right now....they will just be rebuilding earlier than others.

3.6 pulley is their 8lb - 8.5lb pulley ..

Stock pulley is the 3.8 pulley and usually is around 6lbs - 7lbs

Thanks,

generally when used with a cam, headers, and even some ported heads, boost levels will drop. Boost is a representation of restriction and with roots style blowers less boost is better. It is "possible" that he may only be seeing 6#'s with the cam and exhaust mods. my tvs is only seeing 5psi with my exhaust. Impressive numbers people. Did you have to increase injector size or did the BAP help out enough?

This is true, but I bet he gets that back with the air intake. I have a similar setup and see more than 6# with the 3.8 pulley. His numbers are more inline with when I tested with my 3.6 (8#) pulley which put up similar TQ numbers.

Either way it is very impressive !!!

I apologize - the car is pushing 7 lbs. boost.

Here is a video of the car:

As stated above, pulley size doesn't dictate boost levels, but does influence power levels. My TVS 2300 LS3 vette has a 2.9" pulley and only makes 8.5psi. It makes over 670 at the wheels though. I can put the dual mode exhaust in the quiet/restrictive mode and it will make another pound of boost, but power goes down considerably. Boost doesn't equal power. It's simple a measure of restriction. Make the engine breathe easier with cam, intake, and exhaust upgrades, and you don't need big boost #'s to make big power. Those LS3 heads are pretty special. They just need a little help if you want a little more power than most are making.

NICE !!!!

Congrats on the car and the numbers for sure. We just finished one that was a combination of my shop and Extreme Performance working together. Pretty much exactly the same as yours with a TVS2300 with 3.6 pulley (right at 7 PSI), ADM CAI, one of my SC cams, SW longtubes with cats, x-pipe and catback. She put down 607 RWHP and 557 RWT on pump gas. These 2300's rock

Have fun and be safe.
