Nephew came for a visit - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

A couple of weekends ago my nephew got a break from his training at Fort Sill and asked if he could come to visit. I'd been teasing him that he only wanted to visit because of my new car. He drives a supercharged VW Jetta and is looking for a new car for when he gets back from Iraq in a year.

We started Saturday running errands, he was being very brave about shopping with his aunt, I took a little detour to the local high school parking lot and told him he had just been hired as my chauffeur for the day.

First thing he does is almost stall the car, then he takes a few loops around the parking gets comfortable and away we go. We went to pick up the Camaro Now magazine (He read it while we were walking around) and had lunch at the local sushi place. As we were driving through the day, I would hear/feel him start to push the car a little. On the way home I had him take one more detour up onto 190 - As he was on the entrance ramp I told him the speed limit was 70 and to have fun getting there.

The car growls, he changes gears and then he says "Whoa it got there fast".

Now he is talking about starting a family Camaro club.
