Can Gm loan some LT1's out to some car guys?
I can write the first paragraph for them.

I picked up my LT1 Camaro for less than my mazda 3 AWD (Garbage). Less than my Dodge challenger V6 with super track pack (perfect GT). less than my jeep gladiator (AKA the tractor). 1/3rd the price of a lexus slow500. Other than the base stereo being hot garbage. This car (the LT1) is on an entirely different level. Imagine a car that cost less than a miata or frs that absolutely stomps the living shit out of damn near everything on the road. Ferraris, Porsches, beamer douches, 3 series tesla appliances... they all have to commit every time they pull up next to you..

They are a bang for the buck but be careful overestimating the hp especially against a Ferrari, Porsche or a Tesla. Enjoy your new LT1 and congratulations on your purchase.��

interesting. i don't know any car guys who would buy any one of the vehicles you've used for comparison in the first place.

plenty of guys who like cars would buy a gladiator or mazda3, though.

Got the mazda for my wife... hated it and took a 2k loss to trade it in for the gladiator. Worth every penny. Jeep already has twice the mileage and is half as old as the camaro.

I consider myself a car guy and to me my garage is perfect for the moment.

If you weren't criticizing my choices but the reviewers out there. They all gush for 4 banger turbos and hypercars it seems. So I see your point. now back to my beer...

Everything will get a bad review here and there. Just the way it is. If they made a Miata with a 450hp V8 i would have jumped years ago. I think as small as it is even 300hp would be fine. Not sure what HP they come with. I always guessed it was around 140hp max all these years but not sure.

I quit following Mazda when they quit offering the manuals on fully loaded 6s. Now only the base has an available manual.

I get your passionate argument but you are throwing oddball comparisons with wrong numbers. A Mazda 3 AWD is $24,000. An LT1 will get roasted by the Tesla Model 3.

And without the gear from the SS package you don’t have the same car that can kind of keep up with the exotics.

And how does a Jeep fit in?

And I can assure you no one is cross shopping the Lexus with a Camaro LT1, it’s not even on their radar. The Lexus is a world class automobile regardless of 0-60 times and I’m not even sure an LT1 can compare for overall performance.

I grew up at a time when 95% of the cars on the road were American, they were cool. Didn't start driving until the Mid 70s. I bought American, never had any issues with them. Still just buy American today.

If you can find a non-optioned mazda 3 awd premium on a dealer lot you could beat the base lt1 price out the door. I couldnt. There are 8 mazda dealers around me. A slow toyota with leather is still a slow toyota with leather especially at 90k. True somebody needs to line them up side by side.
Jeep is a lifestyle vehicle. So are pony cars, hummers, harleys, kitcars, whatever.

There is method to my madness. I think car guys get it. Maybe not automotive journalists that cant adjust mirrors for visibility.

EDIT: forgot the tesla. I beat the non-all wheel drive version to 60, and i cant get close to 4.1 on my 0-60 runs.

Another edit: Mazda 3 AWD premium msrp is over 28k... Thats more than i paid

Same here started driving in 1982. Only car i had trouble with was a new 2019 C7 with the shudder and bad rear. Once dealers told me they never heard of the shudder and bad rear ends that was it. Now looking for a new Camaro.

I don’t see my Camaro as a lifestyle. I see it as a weekend toy. Jeep people are a whole other bread. Lol. My wife is one of em.
