I seem to get better mpg running 93. I have an Airaid installed along with Flowmaster.

My dealer installed the corsa exhaust for me, and said I was ok with the factory warranty on that.

I asked way back in November about the air intake and they weren't sure about that.

I suppose if it gets discontinued, I could always put the K&N air filter in the stock box.

There was a previous thread where we debated this topic over and over. Scrming monitored his car with both fuel grades in it. With 87 octane his car was pulling large amounts of timing. Our cars will run fine on it but it has to pull timing and therefore does cost performance. Maybe not noticable performance but it does has an effect on the performance. If you have a habit of racing light to light or going to the strip then you might want some 93 in there. As far as a everyday cruise around 87 is just fine.

I have never put 87 in. Here its 87, 89 or 93. I use 93 from Shell. It is supposed to be a better fuel according to some web sites that monitor that crap. I may try other premiums, but I like the additives in Shell and Chevron etc to keep it clean.

Of course I am NOT a gear head and I just may be falling for their slick advertising!

I'm just trying to make my car better. I'm not looking for massive power gains, if had wanted super power gains i would have got a v8. I just want the best for my car.

The only time my car ran on 87 was when it came from the dealer. Since then it's been 93 and never going back.

I've only ever put 87 in mine. Maybe I should try 91 as well. Will do that at the next fill-up and see if I notice any difference.

Edit: Oh wait....I'm not a guy....I shouldn't be in this thread. LOL

Great looking car color, treat her to something good, give her a little 93.

I don't see why not go with the 93. We have an 18 gal tank, so assuming it's 20 cents more than 87 per gallon that only adds up to what, about $4 per fillup? Plus you get better mileage so the true loss is less than that even. I dont know, it just seems worth the minimal cost if there's even a slight chance it'll run better on the 93.
