Coupe vs. vert
Honestly is the convertible as quiet as the coupe? My 2000 is way too loud so I'm looking at a coupe but just got back from cruise to Laguna beach and I really love the top down part. What's your opinion?

The vert is as quiet as the coupe if you don't have your top replaced. Once that happens all bets are off. Mine was the quietest car I had ever owned until the top replacement. Now it is the loudest

I'm sure there's a fix for that ...My current car is a 2000 ss on its second top but has 170000 miles on it. Its so loud I cant talk on the phone.

There's no way on earth the convertible is as quiet as the coupe. Neither before nor after a top replacement. That's the trade off for having a soft-top convertible. That said, it's hardly a deal-killer. Just go drive one and see for yourself.
Birdible -- it can be fixed. Mine was the same way. After my replacement is was so loud I was already looking online for a hardtop convertible to replace it. But I took it in and they made some adjustments and it's as quiet as it was new. Don't settle -- make them fix it. It can be done.

Mine cannot be fixed. I need another top as the weatherstrip broke out of the channel and cannot be fixed. To me it is quieter than a coupe. Matter of fact it was the the quietest car I have ever owned. My Toyota is loud, my mini van is loud, and my old 95 Bird was loud. Now, I have only driven a Camaro Coupe once and didn't really pay attention to it.

The vert with the top up is very quiet -- quiet enough to make phone calls with bluetooth. I doubt it's as quiet as the coupe though, but I would bet it's close.
Top down is another story. Phone calls are not possible on the highway with the top down.

Mine is extremely quiet. Although it's quiet enough with the top down going 60 to make calls with the hands free. It is by far the quietest Conv. I've owned.

I have had a 2010 coupe and now a 2011 vert. With the top up the road noise is slightly more than the coupe. I do mean slightly
 This is probably one of the quietest convertible I have ever owned or driven in.

coupe for sure, with all the problems the convertible has. Just buy a motorcycle
