An E-85 conversion would be the first move if you would allow me to make the decisions.

We can either talk about it here or you can call me directly whichever you think will be more fun

Ugh I'd love to go e85. I don't imagine consumption could be much worse than it is now but I have maybe 3 stations around me that ever carry the gas...

Short of rebuilding the bottom end with stronger components I'm pretty much capped? I'd just be afraid of doing the conversion with no places to fill up

I should have used a different description, this is an Flex fuel conversion which means you can run anything from 93 to E-100 without changing the tune.

Ted, I don't have E-85 in my area, would a meth injection set up yield similar results??

Completely different concept.

What are your goals for your car?

It appears you are all stock from your signature you are a long long way from needed any octane.

Our power packages are all set up to run on 93 or 91 octane pump fuel.

Heavily modified cars will benefit from additional octane weather it be race gas, or E-85 or Meth injection.

I understand it is a different concept....What I was trying to ask was since your customer wanted to jump up the power from your 750 package, instead of using 100 octane ,Torco, or E85 would it yield similar results using 93 octane and methanol injection?

Ah, OK.

Pump gas and Meth injection can offer Both the additional octane and additional fuel required to make over 700 RWHP but know that it is a risky move.

In the event of a Meth pump failure the engine goes with it in many cases.

You are up against a 700 RWHP limit with the stock fuel pump even with a voltage booster.

Aftermarket return style fuel system, with optional flex fuel sensor is required.

You are welcome.

Many new products hitting the market, bump for discussion.

Flex fuel is awesome! I gained about 55hp and 65tq with an E50 tune. Was making 605/629 the morning of the tune on a baseline run, made 662/692 at the end of the session. I take a couple of jugs with me when I fill up.

Yes sir pretty typical gains for flex fuel conversions.

Now the new DSX components it is even easier than before.

Good info, Ted. I'm still on the fence for making the leap to E-85. The new DSX kit does make it pretty easy. Do we still need to send the FPCM in for reprogramming?
