Auotomatic transmission Picture

Umm, maybe i'm missing something, but does anyone know what the "M" stands for in this picture of the automatic shifter. i was expecting 'P, R, N, D, 1, 2, 3" ?

Most likely to give full control to the paddle shifters

Yes you are missing something. The automatic also lets you shift manually with paddle shifters, without the need of a clutch.
That's what the M is for

Camarino, it will actually give you access to all 6 gears via the paddles like a manual without a clutch, just as Milk stated.

They will look something like this:

yea it's gotta be. that'll definitely be fun!
you know what else i noticed they replaced the Torque gauge in the 4-pack with tranny temp. wtf? lol
here is a quote from AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE i found after i saw the pic that made me laugh

"The optional four-instrument gauge cluster on the front of the console has been modified in the past few months, eliminating the torque readout shown in almost all official photography to date. The current gauges offer up oil pressure, oil temperature, electrical system voltage, and transmission temperature. (GM admits that the last one is kind of pointless in a car that will rarely, if ever, see a trailer hitch, but the cluster required four gauges for symmetry.)"

Here is the link if anyone wants to read the full wriet up on the tested V6 (FYI its multiple pages the quote is on page 4)

You can't actually see the buttons from the front but you can see the little things that are the labels for them. Note the plus and minus sign on either side of the wheel.

You can see the actual button in this picture...

They are in a great location that doesn't get in the way at all but is still easily accessible and comfortable to use while driving and you don't have to go out of your way to use it.

Yeah we were told this many moons ago. There's talk it was patent laws, but the official response is expense over value made it not worthwhile, or something to that effect.
