You realize that WAY more people want crossovers than SUV's, right? And the fact that you don't like crossovers doesn't really have any impact on the people do want them.

Chevy doesn't need anymore $60k+ SUVs. Those are more of a niche vehicle than RWD V8 sedans.

What they should have done was made a true Trailblazer replacement. RWD/4WD, 2.8 Duramax, LGX, and the 5.3. THAT would sell considering how many Trailblazers I see a day and they haven't been made in 9 years.

Basically Alpha II.

There's supposed to be a smaller vehicle to slot in below CT5, think Audi A3/Mercedes CLA competitor.

VSS is the new vehicle platform GM is moving to. Essentially just 4 extremely versatile/scaleable platforms across the lineup.

Not sure...they need to demonstrate use of it at some point so...

To be fair, GM sells a ton of $60k+ SUVs.

I would sell both kidneys if they brought a full size 2 door SUV with a V8.

Chevy doesn't need anymore $60K SUV's because they are a niche vehicle? Have you lost your mind? Your in Buffalo and I live in Rochester--go count how many new Tahoe LT & Tahoe LTZ are driving around Western, NY. You can't go to Wegmans, Tops, Walmart, Target, Cabellas, etc without seeing a bunch of them. They sell these things like crazy--unlike a RWD V8 sedan in our part of the country.

Yeah. Calling the large SUVs a "niche" vehicle, and saying a V8 RWD sedan is less of one....is just wrong.

Full size SUV's overall aren't much of a niche. I think the total for the segment is 350-400 thousand units a year, most of which are sold by GM. But a 2 door would absolutely be a niche product. Most people who buy large SUVs probably want to be able to use the space in the back for passengers (otherwise, why not just get a pickup with a cap?). Removing 2 doors sorta hinders that.

I love how people are thinking it'll be a 2 door full size SUV when this is the Blazer the vast majority of consumers remember...

They have a chance to make a really cool Blazer like that but 2door vehicles dont sell like they used to. It would be sweet and could make some waves in the industry since the Bronco doesn't appear to be anything special. The Tahoe with the 6.2 looks promising.

Fenwick,

Any idea when the Chevy website will have the build configurator with the 2018 Tahoe? I want to build a Tahoe RST and see how much this think really is!

You can build an '18 here: https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/build-and-price/

Just ignore the Employee Pricing. I don't think RST is an option there yet though.
