My dyno results for a stock LS3...discuss
Okay, so I drove down the Straightline Performance to get a baseline dyno pull. I pulled the Roto-Fab CAI induction off the car for the pull. Once I got home, I put it back on along with the SLP LM II.
Are these numbers out of line? Seems that alot of people think there results are "off". |

Dont I know you from ls1tech?
Probably just differences in dyno. But that is a solid pull especially for a mustang dyno. The most common number for the new camaro is 36x to 37x. I have seen some 38x and 39x but those are usually dynapack or dynojet dynos. I havent seen a mustang dyno read out as high as yours for a stock car yet. One possibility is that your car may have slightly adjusted its computer for when you had the rotofab on...and then when you took it off and went to the dyno it could have still been running different parameters and effected the numbers. See if you can get another 6 speed car to pull on the same day as you and see what happens. Also...doesnt your car have a couple thousand miles on it? A lot of motors are known to pick up about 10-15 hp after break in...this could be part of the equation also. A lot of dynos I have seen around here are on cars with less than 500 miles on them. I think the HP@50 number is a bit on the low side. I would have them use something like 13.5-13.75, which is a pretty good guess and this will change the numbers some.

Your dyno graph reads out at 369 max horsepower.
Your text on the sheet reads 391 max horsepower. There is a misprint somewhere. 369 sounds perfect for this dyno.

I think the numbers on the lower sheet are the adjusted ones. I would say thats about what most ls3's put out stock.

Here's mine on the mustang dyno .
Higher #s were with the airbox open , air filter only ( taped to housing )

Okay, I have confirmed that the dyno was in fact accurate...several other cars went on after mine that day with nuts on readings.
With regards to the graph results off from the cover sheet...the cover sheet is usually always a little higher because it uses SAE standards for correction, where as the graph uses raw data. |

Sorry, but the bottom graph is the accurate numbers. No stock LS3 makes 390hp to the wheels. Yours is 369hp/359tq.

Mustang dynos always produce lower #'s than a dynojet.
They are just #'s. A dyno is just a tuning tool... How does your car FEEL??

There is our's stock. I like to tell people not to get too wrapped up in numbers, it only show's what the car makes that day. Most of the time its pretty accurate but a dyno is just a tool. |

Your #'s look right for the Mustang dyno. The power@50 is close and wouldn't change the output. By the graph I see KR which is typical on these cars.
