Memorial Day Vandalism
Here's what I woke up to this morning.
I haven't confirmed this yet, but it looks like Progressive is going to make me pay a deductible. If I use my fingernail, I can peel it off slowly. Should I attempt to scrape this off now? Use a clay bar? Plastic scraper? Any advice is helpful. |

The stuff on the windows you can use a utility blade, just get it nice and smooth and start taking it off. Just be careful not to scratch the glass. It takes some time, but it can be done.
The stuff on the paint, I have no idea. But when I would be cleaning it off, I would have the Shield 40 in a leg holster.. I also suggest getting a camera set up |

I would file a Police Report then put up some camera's then wait for the rat bastards who did it, that stuff is uncalled for IMO.

I'd get it to a quality paint and body-shop asap...They'll know what to do...You'll never get it all yourself anyways...

I went through the same thing when all three of my cars got keyed. Had to pay $100 deductible on the comp for each car to get repainted.

That sucks.
Couldn't hurt to chase it with a clay bar, might get lucking and it will come off. Its rattle can paint and I wouldn't think that it would stick to well to wax.

I don't know how much of that you would be able to get off with a scraper without damaging the clearcoat or paint. That F$%&$ing sucks man. So much disrespect for other people's things. If you have a polisher I'd see if that might work but the plastics will most likely have to be replaced.
That sucks man

I filed a police report first thing. The garage door is not functional, but I've finally convinced my roommate to get it working. The police said it happened in 4 locations across town last night, and a van a few houses down had its window busted out.

I'd go for the repaint on the car, it will come out looking much better than factory.

I took it to the car wash and pressure washed it, but it barely made a dent. I only got pieces off the fog lights. |
