My pinion seal developed a leak (I think it was at around 120,000 miles). I replaced it and hasn't leaked since.

Hopefully fixed, reused the gasket with some RTV silicone.

Never opened, the marks are from me trying to torque to spec just in case before i took it apart.

Still shows someone other than the factory, was on those bolts...


Leaking, also, can come from the vent if over-filled, hard cornering, and hard
acceleration. People do hook up catch cans to their diff vents to prevent
loss under those conditions.
