I was told that the SS may be delayed because they are having problems with L99 auto. Only the auto, and only for the SS. I have no other info, i wish i did, but im sure that there might be other members who can calborate on this. You don't have to believe me, but i am just putting it out there. If you've ordered the LS or LT or LT2, with auto, you have anything to worry about, as for the SS owners, you probably wont have to worry either but i dont know all the info.
I would re-check your 'insider'

Well, after you tried to screw your customers by charging $5-20k over MSRP for the early Challengers, what do you expect? I just hope that the honest dealers realize what caused the original issue and punish the idiot dealers. Chevy dealers who have similar plans for the Camaro need to rethink their strategy.

It's not completely unbelievable that the AFM in the L99 could be having issues, that is a helluva technology....but that being said I would have to hear it from Scott to really break a sweat about it.

I doubt it will be delayed. Tap shifting trannies have been around a long time it's something that can be debuged. The Turbo Hydro's have been around a loong time so it's not like they are dealing with something unknown.

I agree. If it is delayed for this reason, I imagine it won't be a long delay and such a delay would be better than a faulty product out on the market. I wouldn't worry too much either way.

If I see one more "insider" info from someone's brother's step-sister-inlaw's twice removed cousin was a janitor at the grocery store when Bob Lutz walked in and overheard him talking to the guy in produce about the Camaro

K, first of all i said COULD BE BAD, COULD BE DELAYED!, Second i said to choose to believe it or not, did i say it was set in stone, i put it up there to see if anyone else had heard something similar. I dont need anyone flaming on me for posting something that i thought other members might want to know. I never said it was fully credible, re-read my post before jumping to any conclusions and flaming me for it, next time dont choose to read it if you dont like insider info, this site normally doesnt have this problem of people flaming others like camaroz28.com has, thats why i joined this site and not that one. So please dont flame me, and why would anyone close to me bullshit, really?

And second, i knew about the ambient lighting way before alot of people on this forum from an insider source.

oh and the camaro coming back, when they were in the talks

Ok...first knock it off with the triple posts before I jump through that screen and...!!!! (gotta pull your leg there)

Second...

There are a couple technical issues GM is dealing with. This could be the other I was told of. It is entirely possible. I mean...it's not like GM would WANT to come out and say, "Houston...we have a problem." They would rather keep wraps on the problem, work through it, and you would never know the problem ever existed. There is an issue with the ambient, this could be issue #2.

All I have to say is this....KEEP THE FAITH. It will be just fine. GM won't put out an auto SS if they are going to have to recall it down the road...will NEVER happen. NEVER.
