1969 survivor

Finally got the paper work photographed of my second owner survivor. Changed rear end bearings, transmission shift linkage seal, radiator core, and converted to R134. My first car was a 1969. The stars aligned and I was lucky enough to find this car.

Twisty --- Yes that is the original paint. The first owner lived on a farm and was a school teacher. She kept it in a garage and drove a pickup in winter weather.

You are so lucky to have found that beauty. I have seriously been looking for a 69 here in Cali but the real nice ones are over 30k and most of them are clones. I have a love affair with the 69 because I bought a new one in 69.

I like seeing the original gauges and dash....interior stuff. They are usually time capsules. And of course the motor.

Back in 08 at the 5th gen reveal in Indy there was a young man with an original paint numbers matching 69 SS 396 Camaro. He and quite a few others were shocked when I told him he should leave it alone. There aren't many true survivors left. I hope he listened.

I'm happy for you. You got to keep the wife and still got another fine car
