Switched DRL's to LED and they keep burning out

Hey gang,

I have a 2013 RS/SS 1LE. I swapped out the factory DRL bulbs for some LED's. When they work they look a lot more modern that the factory bul. The problem is they keep burning out. I have tried cheap ones and expensive ones. It doesn't seem to matter though. They all burn out eventually. Anyone else having this problem? If so, if there a way to fix this -or- do I simply need to go back to the factory bulbs?

probably need to add some resistors to the wiring to limit the power to the bulb. LED bulbs will burn out if overpowered. what brand bulbs?

Sounds like y'all need to check these people out https://www.diodedynamics.com/
I've had these for nearly a year with no problems and they match color of halos and hid headlights
I got these https://www.diodedynamics.com/p13w-hp48-led-pair.html

Mine are diodedynamics also..they lasted 3 years! But close to the end of 2017 my passenger side one started flickering.

I've heard it's because our housing isn't big enough to disapate the amount of heat contained inside it.

Currently looking into other options that involve replacing the drl/fog housing.

I bought a set from http://www.vleds.com/ over 7 years ago when I first bought my car. The driver side is still working, the passenger side just went out so I'm ordering another set.

Stay away from anything Oracle. It's overpriced Chinese crap.

Best led drl

I use diodedynamics p13w-hp48 , they are super bright and match the hid headlights . I use the GM adapter so they can stay on with the halos.
