2013 ZL1 LSA Misfire/Hesitation. PLEASE HELP! I need expert advice

I have an intermittent misfire/pop/hesitation on my 2013 LSA powered Camaro ZL1. She has 18,000 miles on her. Only mod is a Hooker cat back 3" dual exhaust with xpipe no mufflers and a K&N drop in filter with no tune yet.

The problem seems to be limited to and occur only after coasting downhill with sustained low RPM engine braking. When it's time to accelerate again seems if I give it a decent amount of throttle starting from 2500 RPMish and put a good load on it I get a Misfire/Pop/Hesitation at about 3000 RPM. Then it seems to be okay again until I repeat a similar scenario. I am a novice DIY mechanic.
Any ideas, suggestions, solutions would be much appreciated.

Easiest thing to check, that I have seen more than once is damaged spark plugs and/or damaged spark plug wires or loose spark plug wires.

OP here, I replaced the plugs and it fixed the problem.
Apparently as well as gas and oil, LSA engines like to dine copiously on spark plugs as well.
I guess $50 in spark plugs every 18,000 miles ain"t so bad. Pay to play!!

If it's stock to lightly modified, it should not need spark plugs every 18k miles. The manual recommends 65k for plug change on the ZL1.

If the plugs went or looked in bad shape, I'd look at other things that may have caused it. Such as running too rich, bad gas, modifications that alter the tunes parameters, etc.

Not saying you have these issues, but it's worth it to take a look.
