Exhaust suggestions?

I’m fairly new to the family. I’ve had my 2012 SS for about a month and look for a new exhaust system. Any suggestions???

All depends on what type of sound your looking for? and also any mods done to the car.

Are you looking for mild, moderate or wake the dead

Do you have an L99 (automatic) or LS3 (manual). This will make a big difference in your selection.

If it’s automatic, Solo is a great exhaust and will have no drone.

On these cars, work your way front to back, headers > muffler tips, or you will regret it.

Or you will be a mad dawg chasing its tail, lol.

Yes I agree, I had assumed Headers were to be done as a mandatory part of owning an LS engine.

Start from the front! Headers with stock catback is significantly louder (not obnoxious) but buying a loud exhaust now with a moderate sound goal and then putting headers on later it will become overwhelming and leave you buying another exhaust (unless you want super loud, in which case straight pipes are cheap and raspy)

+1 for Solo. I have Solo's Mach XL catback mated up to Kooks long tube headers with cats and it sounds great!

I'm stock and did a muffler delete. It gave me a louder sound but not too loud. I have an automatic too and my 2015 has the huge resonator which also helps (for good or bad) keep the sound down. If I ever decide to remove them, then I would be looking a complete system. Also, the AFM on anything other then a stock system will become noticeable when you make changes. The Range device will help with that.

I hardly ever see anyone on here recommend Corsa anymore.. but if you're looking for a really aggressive sound and not wanting to do headers, that's the way to go, super raspy, really deep tone, and they are tame at cruising speed.

I just had Corsa Xtreme put on my car last fall. Its sounds amazing. But you cant have rasp and deep tone at the same time. I find this system to be higher pitched with a real refined tone that imo is the best sounding on the market.

Headers with QTP cutouts and stock from there back. Go as loud as you want but still be able to start it in the morning without waking the dead.

Aside from sound, it depends on your budget.
