First clutch car
When will I know when my clutch is starting to go? And what is a transmission slip?

youll know it when you feel it.
car revs but speed stays the same.. and that depends on how well you learned to drive it and if you ride it. I've gotten 40k easy out of street clutches. and I've also gotten less than 10k on drag cars with sticks.

The two go together. Last car, at about 50K miles, it would not go up a hill in 5th without slipping. Easy to hear because the engine RPMs go up, or see on the tach. I sure hope my Camaro can go more than 50K.

you will definatly know when the clutch is starting to go. Driving style/skills is big factor on how long a clutch will last.

Mine should last awhile then. I taught myself how to drive stick by watching all the Fast and Furious movies.

Is this meant to be a joke? I don't see how you learn to drive a manual from those movies and I've seen them all

Do our clutches really go that fast? This is my first high HP car but I've driven manuals for 20 years and never had a clutch last less than 100k.
34k on the car now and I'd be pretty disappointed if it burned out in another 10. |

Same place I bought my 100# nitrous bottles of course!
And you definitely should have been able to tell I was being sarcastic by the tone of my voice.
