Gen 5 Z/28 Meets 87 IROC

Check this out. Nice reincarnation of a salvaged Z/28.

Man that thing is finer than frog hair. I love what they did to the exhaust to give it that distinctive sound. It's a beautiful car

That is awesome!
It wasn't a salvage car, he said it has 8,000 miles on it. The only paint they did was the engine bay.
A friend of mine has a '91 that was built to SCCA specs and sold only to SCCA teams. He has 9400 racing miles on it and isn't going to change a thing. Though the first the the original owner did was swap the 305 for a 350. The 305 was mandated with the 4 speed, the 350 was available only with an automatic.
It was delivered with a full cage, thinner glass and sheet metal, crank windows, etc.
He added a passenger seat for his dog

The salvage car was the 5th gen Z/28 not the IROC.

Cool video. Saw that one and that was my original idea to take a 89 IROC-Z and install all 2014 or 2015 used parts because I use to have an 89 IROC. Man that would be the @#$%!. Anyways talked to Bruce and it was way over my budget. Decided to settle with 2015 Z/28 instead.
