Gas Gauge and Fuel Range Question inside please

Any one have this happen.
2015 1LT.
Had my car out on the highway 80 plus miles driven
when all the sudden the fuel gauge goes to E and
Fuel range on the D.I.C. read nothing but dashes.
5 Minutes later its back to reading right.
Stopped at a gas station and put 6 gallons in the tank
so it wasn't on empty/ no leaks apparent underneath the rear

I've had this happen intermittently on my 1LE as well except the gauge was showing empty and my range still showed accurate with a full tank. Outside of replacing the sending unit, I haven't found any fixes online.

These little electrical system gremlins on GM cars make me nervous. I’ve had my Monte Carlo dash out multiple times - bad stepper motors in the gauge cluster, turn signal / multi-function switch bad, hazard relay bad...hope the Camaro doesn’t follow.
