Would this setup be recommended? Trans is stock and I do 1/2 mile events, 1/4 for fun, and road courses.

Whatever your drivetain will max out at, which on a auto car with a 6l80 is typically ~650rwhp or so.

If you add horse power, you'll eventually need suspension and cooling mods. It's part of the game. I did the LSA SC kit with cam and heads for around $7500 myself, but you find you need other mods to account for that change. I added a ZL1 pump and ADM FPCM right afterwards so that added to the cost. Later in the year on a hot day traveling, car temps got up there, so cooling upgrades came into play. Suspension upgrades will vey likely be needed for the additional power. I've done virtually all of those too. Upgrades to my intercooler pump and HX.
Design the kits (SC or Turbo) based on the feedback you get from the kit makers about your goals. They know what will work best. Turbo or SC, you'll need to plan on upgrades as you add bigger power, how much is up to you. -Don

It can be definitely be done for under 10 but like others have said you have to turn your own wrenches. My tuner kit S/C sat for 4 months while piecing everything together. I just wasn't in a rush. Scanning the forums for different deals, and taking suggestions from my tuner to keep it safe. Thank you for all the people going in a different directions and selling their stuff at nice prices with low miles.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I am looking to get this done, but I have a tad bit to go before I get it right. I am already can LS3 converted. I do need to add power. Suspension is complete cooling for what I can do without the intercooler is done. The intercooler would be something important for me.o

Sell your car, save your $10-15k and get a 2012 ZL1. The ZL1 will be a better overall car and you can pull some great hp out of it with minor bolt ons and a tune. Fuel system, diff, suspension, forged sc motor and so much more. It will always be a more desirable car than a highly modded SS. The ZL1 is a multi purpose track car. IMO, your just throwing your money away.

Same exact advice I had given that you quoted (the turbos are now billet 54mm). Your first and super easy to get to step is 650whp. With your stall that's going to be an easy 10 second car with lots of room to grow when you want to upgrade your trans. Since you already have a cam it will only take like 8psi to make 650whp.
