I searched Camaro5 for this issue since I recently had it happen to me. I couldn't really see the temp sensor/connector area due to being supercharged with custom valve covers. The car was not overheating. Never smelled any coolant leak. Radiator was filled to the top. Oil temp stayed steady, in normal range.

I finally noticed that the RotoFab CAI filter's chrome ring fell off and the filter was loose/ cockeyed. I fixed all this, checked the coolant temp readout and it was to reading 160 degrees. Took the car for a nice, long aggressive ride and the coolant stayed right at 160. Problem solved for my set up. Next is to go to the shop and see what they think about unfiltered air that passed thru.

So much for that being the fix. Message came back on 100 miles or so later. Time to take it to the shop.

Unhappy Having the same issue with my 2012 2LT.

Hi There,

Is there a fix for this? I'm having the same issue and have already had my water pump replaced. Soo frustrating... can't drive 50 miles without it coming back on. I reset the fuse box to clear it. No engine codes to run either.

Hopefully there is a fix by now?
