Picked up a new family car 2018 Regal TourX

Over the weekend, decided to make a little change to my fleet. Ever since Buick unveiled the new Regal TourX, I've been wanting one.

Decided to upgrade the family car, traded in our 2007 Impala LT and got a brand new TourX Essence edition.

It's a darkmoon blue metallic, AWD, 2.0T. Overall it's the exact same size as the Impala, albeit 4 inches shorter, and just has way more usable space. The car is well-optioned, although not every feature under the sun. I didn't want the lane-assist and auto-braking crap. Just made sure I optioned it enough to have at least the infotainment system, leather heated seats, and heated steering wheel.

So far, really happy with the car! Here's hoping it makes a good family car for the next 10 years.

They are lengthy. I work at a Buick/GMC dealership and see them every once in a while. Haven't seen your Blue in person but the pics look nice!

Yeah, I've never seen another on the road since they've come out. I like to drive cars that aren't seen as much.

My wife was pretty set on their pearl white, but in the sun this blue is awesome. Like my IOM Camaro, very hard to photograph, but when the sun hits it just right... it's a gorgeous color.

Yeah, that's going to be my next car. The Sonic just isn't cutting it. That TourX would look great in my garage - same color and everything.

That's not off the table. The Impala was getting up there in age, and we've been looking to replace it for a while. It needed a new heater core, and I absolutely hate doing that job on the W-Body.

I'm still looking for my perfect v8 Camaro at the right price. It'll still happen. I did a great down payment, plus trade, so I'm not sitting on a high monthly payment for the next 5 years on this car.

I was a big fan of one until all the poor reviews, especially regarding the transmission. It’s a shame as I think they are beautiful.

I wish you all the luck with it. You’ll probably be fine as long as you don’t drive the Audi or Volvo.

Because it's a bad trans, or because they didn't like the way that it performed?

I'm pretty happy with the driveability of the trans right now, are these 8-speeds a fail point?

That car looks pretty nice. I'm a fan of Euro wagons and hatches, and other imports. Glad to see such a good domestic design in a wagon.

Congrats.
