NO "confirmation" on what specific trans/diff/gear. Personally, I would have thought that a car with "sporting intent" would welcome the ZL1 HD upgrades... Pay for it once, up-front, and then "fugetaboutit"...

They mention a "6-speed Close Ratio Manual Transmission"...is that MG9?

And instead of HD driveline, they want to include the Leather Trim...

<Bump>....refresh...moving the once preferred and heavily posted one and Z only thread back to the top. Hmmmm, leather refinements? We don't need no stinkin' leather refinements!!!!'LOL <> Give us the HD drivetrain, MRC & lowered ride height with variable rate springs, heavier dampers and sway bars <whatever Pete recommends>...19" square rubber all around, MG9 with wet sump LS7.<can't we just baffle the pan?> and a cold ram air package from the hood. We're talkin' leather? Leather???? Howz about a 5 point harness and some racing buckets? 1LE as it's lookin' from my porch may be a gussied up SS, with "leather" and decals<trim level upgrade gosh tell me no>...albeit MRC and some other potential upgrades, but the LS3 is not my weapon of choice in an upgrade level. I would prefer to buy a 1SS and do it it my way with boxes of gear showing up in my driveway. I'm now seriously thinking the Z will return in Epiosde 6.

Pete,
How much $$ and work would it be to replace an MRC with Pedders Supers? Would the MRC be saleable afterwords?

You could sell the shock, but the thing that makes them special is the computer in the car. Without that, they're just a heavier than normal shock with a few wires sticking out.

The MRC struts would have value only as replacement parts for another ZL1. Supercars for the ZL1 are the same price as Supercars for the SS.

+1. And being that the ZL1 and Ferarri 458 Italia (I think?) are the only cars on the planet that currently employ the dual-coil MR system....it makes them particularly low in demand. :(

In my case unfortunatly it's for protection due to a distrust of others. (Life's experience)

Hello, old friends!

So we have a "1LE" to play with, soon. "Enhanced FE4"...GREAT! Lower cost...and very mod-able with PEDDERS pieces at the ready.

But we're missin' the extra steam to fully annihilate the BOSS LS...and seriously chase BIG Brother...

GM-massaged LS3? The widely-wished-for LS7? Camaro-introducing LT1?

Pray tell, what is ZEE answer?!

Which RED number will it be?!

MRC as an Option, or Standard?

And, most importantly, WHEN?
