GM would be way better off developing a Wrangler competitor than a 2 door full size SUV that 4 people will buy.

I've heard that they had one in the works for GMC.

Sounds like GMC wants one, but can't come up with a viable business case.

Have to say I agree with DGthe3 and Fen. I know the old 2 door Tahoe or Blazer might have been popular back in the day.
But I can't figure out what, if any advantage a modern 2 door Tahoe would offer you over a four door. Can someone explain that to me? If "appearance" is the only answer...well then that's not going to be enough. A four door Tahoe is going to offer you just as much storage and capability as a two door version. If wanting a manlier looking SUV is the concern, well then we just need to hope GM builds one. Perhaps the RST is the answer there.

And especially in a new vehicle, if I have an SUV I want to go hunting/fishing in I'm probably taking some buddies with me. I dont want them to have to climb in the back, I just want them to pile in. But that's just me. I guess I just never got the appeal of a full size two door SUV |

The Envoy's at the dealer for some preventative maintenance.
I have a 2017 Buick Encore FWD Preferred loaner. Comfortable, peppy, and fuel efficient, but I have a sudden feeling I need to pick the kids up from school and take them to soccer practice...

$25k was the sticker on the one I've got. Not too bad for what you get.

We picked up a 2016 AWD left over... we just couldn't deal w/ the turbo lag. We got a steal of a deal for it, but man, it didn't make up for the lag... once it was going, it was zippy as all get out. We traded it in for a 2017 Hyundai Tucson AWD... basically just swapped them. The Tucson is pretty sweet!

The Encore Preferred FWD starts at about $25k. http://www.buick.com/suvs/encore-com...own.html#/trim Sure, you can get a Trax cheaper but not by much.
