Recommend cylinder heads?

Won’t do it for less than 30hp. Looking for increased flow, increased compression and safer valve angle. Anything else I need to consider? AI, AFR, PRC, ...

Grab some GM CNC ported, or port your own, and mill them. That is the best bang for the buck.

Higher compression will be the real big gains, and power in the mid range I guess. Not much of you're staying same comp ratio.

There's like 2-3 guys in recent threads saying they gained 0hp with ported aftermarket heads. But gained 20-30 in the mid.

I'll just freaking go all out on lightly ported stockers/notching/high comp ratio and spin them to the moon till it blows.

I think with stock manifold and medium cam it's not much of a gain, except better PTV clearance
With higher comp ratio...

What about going smaller ported like the TEA TFS 245's?

Trick flow from Total Engine Airflow, good head with a good valvejob.

And sounds like a ported manifold from GPI may be helpful too?

That's what I read, unless I'm crazy. I quoted him. 1 guy* said they gained 30hp/20tq ish in the mid range but 0 up top.

https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showt...=563836&page=2
I'm thinking PRC 260 heads will run away, maybe on extreme setup up top and mid range. Those LS3 are hard to beat up top though.

I like the customizable part of the PRC with chambers available down to 62cc!!

I'd sure hope I'd gain more than 20-30 over LS3 with top tier like Mast or other 3k$ plus heads

I gained 15rwhp off ported stock heads alone with a cam so small I was already running with stock springs.
https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=445936

I then later on swapped to the BTR 3 cam and then swapped to th400.

Wanting more power I swapped over to a set of PRC 260s with 65cc chambers and the TSP F-35 Cam
https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=520120

All the testing was on the same dyno. Dont know what I gained from the cam or heads seperately but bet most of the gain was from the heads.
