No, but I've been thinking about putting both of mine together. But all I can do is drive one car at a time right now. Both cars are as stock as a box of crackers.

I gaurantee if its a 01-02 SS it would put down a beating! The LS1 car is atleast 400lbs lighter...

That would be an epic beat down...my stock LS1 car would be a very close race with the 2010 SS trapping slightly higher and (with a few certain members here driving) trumping me by a few tenths easily (my best is only a 13.1 @ 108mph). With full exhaust and intake the LS1 car is going to see a large gain in power and putting the LS1 on top everytime.

Mod for mod.. now that would be interesting (I would put my money on the LS3 though).

ericsnow25 - FWIW my car (2001 Z28 T-Top M6) was 3440lbs full weight (full tank of gas) just a couple of months ago.

No stock LS1 F-body has ever trapped 111MPH like the new SS has done.

Both drivers being equal, the '10 SS should pull the 01-02 car pretty good.

Who has trapped 111mph? Is it posted somewhere? (I missed it)
I see a tuned and catback at 111mph??

Speedy who has the fastest stock time I am aware of at the same track I run at went 109.08mph... I ran 108.59mph at the same track in my bone stock 2001 LS1 car. I wouldn't say the 10SS would pull the 01~02 'pretty good' to be honest. It should win but it would be VERY close.

beyond that we were not talking about a stock to stock comparison... the thread was about a full exhaust and lid ls1 car which should easily trap 112+mph (at a real track and not magazine numbers).

All the major mags have. Edmunds, Motortrend, Car and Driver.

So the car is definitely capable of it with a good driver, but I haven't seen any owners on here hit that yet.

AHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAHAHA....

Here is the list of actual results from a track on this site...

NineBall on this site would DESTROY those magazine drivers in a heads up race... if you look up his driver credentials you will find that he is more capable than the minivan reviewers at Motortrend.

BONE STOCK:
***all times verified***

1. speedy6963 - 12.87 @ 109.08 (LS3,M6)
2. NineBall - 13.07 @ 109.07 mph (LS3, M6)
3. Matt (tunetime) - 13.25 @ 106. 4 mph (L99, A6)
4. Foglin - 13.28 @ 106.8 mph (LS3, M6)
5.Amwellls1 - 13.31 @ 107.0 mph (LS3, M6)
6. BLT4SPD - 13.58 @ 96.34 mph (L99,A6)
7. PatrickfromMD - 13.59 @ 104.55 (L99,A6)
8. I Am Legend - 13.82 @ 106.91 mph (LS3,M6)
9. Toehead93 - 13.86 @ 102.66 mph (L99,A6)
10. Pharmd - 13.90 @ 102.3 mph ( L99, A6)

I would suggest you read up on why Magazine times != Track times before you reply. It will be easier on all of us.

Edit: I was going to be nice but I saw how you treated others in the Evo thread...

Well... I will use my curb + 75lbs to match the rear swap.

I made 321rwhp with an FRA through the OEM paper filter... 350rwhp with a tuned full exhaust/intake LS1 car isn't out of the question at all so I will use that for my base. Might be less might be more but it should illustrate the point rather well I think.

3440 + 75lbs
LS1 F-Body - 3515 / 350rwhp (15% DTL = 410 crank) = 8.57
LS3 F-Body - 3849 / 360rwhp (15% DTL = 425 crank) = 9.05

Look at the weight difference and look at the rwhp numbers. It might be close I guess depending on what you call close though. The best a stock 2010 Camaro SS has done so far is 12.87 @ 109mph....the best a bone stock LS1 Camaro has done is 12.89 @ 108mph (nineball might have that beat can't remember).. now add a lot more power to the LS1 car and leave the LS3 car the way it currently is and it's going to tip the balance in favor of the LS1 car.

One thing that will also make a difference (putting some 4th gens higher than others) is that 01+ models have the LS6 Intake and a truck cam that gives a boost to low end power. It didn't bump peak numbers much but power under the curve improved and mods like LTs and Intake give better increases with the LS6 intake than the LS1 intake. (in other words I am giving best case numbers using an 01+ model...a 98~00 LS1 car might be a few ticks slower or faster who knows.)

Here is Full exhaust, lid, clutch and Drs.
12.15 @ 114
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/drag-r...tock-pass.html

There is also a guy who claimed the below time on DRs, Headers only (no intake mods) but if you skim the thread you will see a lot of doubt.
12.557 @ 114.54
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/drag-r...114-54mph.html

It varies a lot (just like the results you see on here. DA is rarely good enough for a great pass so you see poor results from good drivers in bad DA and bad results from bad drivers regardless of DA). Driver to driver with equal conditions and the lighter car with close to the same power is going to walk away every time. IMHO.

Now that said the best pass done in a 2010 car was still in ~950DA and not negative DA at Atco so it's still possible that a freak 12.6~12.7 @ 110~111mph might occur this winter and that will change the perspective for me. As of right now with the information available I believe this to be accurate though.

One tiny bit of information that is missing. These are summer track times. You can easily add 3 mph to these trap speeds this winter. By next Spring, the fastest stock 1/4 mile list will surely be different with higher trap speeds on average.

Heck, a stock L99 A6 ran 12.9 @ 108 mph in 68 degree air at New England Speedway. The LS3 M6's should have no trouble trapping 110 -112 mph at the faster tracks this winter.
