What kind of down payment....
..does everyone here plan on putting down for the Camaro and which model do you plan on buying? What do you suspect your monthly average payments to be?

I may lease it for the first 3 years and buy it instead of turning it in at the end. That way I don't have to put much down and can write of the lease payments plus i can keep my current car as an extra. Otherwise I'm planning to put around 8k down. Either way my payments should hover around $450 if i get the base V8, closer to $600 - $650 if I get the HiPo.

I'd like to put about 30-50% down on it - in about 3 years. I plan on getting the entry V8. Not sure what my payments will be though
edit High Powered

I pledged to hold off until I can put 50% down, which I should be able to do by 2012. However, I will be able to afford it before that point, and it will be tempting to get it earlier. I just want to limit my debt and never be upside down on the car.

I plan to trade in my Mazda and put down enough cash to total $10k. Hopefully that will make the base V8 do-able for me. If not, I'll have to settle for the V6.

I'm hoping to be able to collect at least enough for a HiPo-version in the order of about 10-25%. If I can keep my payments somewhere in the neighborhood of $500-600, I think I can do it. I'll probably be looking at a purchase around 2011 or so.

I'm gonna be just about debt free, except for a house payment by the end of this year. Depending on what daycare will cost, and how much I've saved by early 2010, I'm hoping to have a $300 payment with about 15K down. I'm planning on getting the HiPo model. Hopefully a 550HP LSA under the hood.

by the time I can I'll have 20K at least put back maybe about 24k. just depends on what random bills come up after my deployment. so the oh shit face version I will probably end up financing about half.

Planning to get the entry level V8. I'm expecting to have about $14,000 to put down, possibly a little more. And I'm guessing I'll have payments in the $500 range.
