Anyone knownabout these Ported Cylinder Heads!!

Has anybody heard anything about these heads or actually used them? The price sounds right but the power claims are kinda high. Just trying to find the right heads for my package!! I've seriously been thinking about just going to Darrin Morgan to get the stock heads ported!! Anyone out there with some info would be cool! Also does anyone know how to contact Darrin?

Have texas-speed or Darin Morgan port them, install your springs and save yourself ~500 bucks.

Dont waste money on ported stock castings...have your own ported. No reason to buy your same heads over again for no reason.

I am personally still waiting to see the price and performance of texas-speeds new casting ls3 heads before I make the decision. If they are making an extra 20-30 hp over a ported stock casting ill spend an extra grand or so for that.

Id like to make 520-530 rwhp with a heads and cam combo but not have to use a ridiculously sized cam. I would like to hit that mark with something like the 231/236. Right now ported stock castings make about ~500rwhp with the 231/236.

@Squintz will do!!
@Ultrazls1,
I agree I do like to do all my own work and back in the day I had a few friends that did good port work but being the army has distanced me from some of those people! Hell I just found Squintz a couple of weeks ago?! Do you know how to contact Darin or how much he charges? I currently have the 231/236 cam and love it!! I'm very close to my goal of 500/475 to the wheels! That is why I'm really leaning towards the heads or head work! I do new to call Jon or Matt at tsp as well about ptv issues if I mill the heads for more compression too!! Thanks and good luck with you car! Btw that CSM is awesome for a dd and has plenty of low end grunt to get that heavy beast going!!

Is this Ed Curtis? If so you did a custom grind for my 306 a while back that made some serious power! Anyways I agree, that is why I started this thread! I think I will be intouch with Darin soon!

Screen names don't help but if you want, PM your info. It's good to know we have some history.

Thanks guys, I'm already in contact with him via email till i get back that great place called the USA!! Iraq sux btw don't ever vacation here! I will be home in a couple of weeks thanks guys!

@ Ed, had I known you were doing LS stuff too I would have come to you first! May not be too late I will talk things over with Darin and maybe I will give you a call! The cam you did was back in 2006 when I was getting ready to come back from this place the last time I was here!! Pretty ironic huh? My name is Jesse and I don't remember the specs but it was for a 306 with a 150 shot and ran 11.22 @ 122 on a 125 shot instead! That's where I want this car to be only thing is that is doesn't weigh 3400 with me in it!!

I worked side by side with Darin on the wet-flow bench while training at Reher Morrisson years ago. I have been building race & performance engines for over 35 years and the amount I learned there was amazing.

The entire Reher Morrisson operation is unreal......the CNC ported throttle bodies we offer use the same science he demonstrated on the wet-flow bench....just like the cylinder heads.
