Can you put on a 2015 SS exhaust on 2010 v6 camaro?
Can you put on a 2015 SS exhaust on 2010 v6 camaro?
My catalytic converters went bad a few thousand miles after the warranty ended (go figure). It's cheaper to replace the entire exhaust than just the cat converter, so wondering if anyone can shed light if I can make this replacement? I put this question on camaro5 forum, but no definitive answers yet. Maybe someone here will know more

I doubt that the cats are not included in that $150 price
The cat-back sections between the two would be the same except for the larger pipe (2.25" vs 2.5"). However; I'm not sure if the flanges where the catalytic converters mate up to the exhaust manifolds are the same between the 2010 V6 and the SS. I know you can get magna flow direct fit from Oreilly's...$355 each Last edited by nancygrl; 06-15-2017 at 03:41 PM. |

Get universal magnaflow highflows from advance at like 70 bucks a pop. Have shop weld in place of clogged cats and call it done.

Yes you can. I had a 2013 zl1 catback on my 2012 V6 Camaro. Sounded great actually.

As long as the OP is not over the 80K mile point then the cats are still covered as are the ECM and anything emission related. Cats don't typically go bad, something goes wrong that causes the cat to get cooked.

Unfortunately, I'm at 85k miles. And my car is over 8 yrs too... by just a few months. Of course the cats would go bad now :(

I'm not sure how scoring a deal on a catback will help your bad converter issue...
The clamp p/n for SS and V6 cars is the same so it sounds like the diameters match so it seems that it will bolt up.
