So I got a little bored today... my splitter was painted and just laying around so I figured I might as well install it lol.. also figured while I was pulling the bumper I should put some LEDs in the grill and engine bay to keep up with all you guys... here's the results - I'll get some better shots of the splitter tomorrow

Bumper Removal: (not as bad as I thought it was going to be)

Splitter: (dont mind the mess...lol)

Lights!! Cant decide on blue or red... trunks blue already... thinking about going with the red... make the car look mean! but that means changing out all the lights in the trunk and now the lights in the engine bay lol... oh well - it'll give me something to do I guess

Red:

Blue:

Engine Bay:

Oh, boy. Here I go... Off from work today, gonna try to replace the 6.5" door speakers today after watching videos. I am also gonna try to install an amp in the trunk. I will take note of what color wires are negative and positive to the door speakers, but hope I can tap into them under the dash somewhere to go back to the trunk and back. Any advice is welcome... I guess I will tap into the cigarette lighter in the center console for the remote wire. Also, what do you guys use to clean the engine bay? A vacum, or compressed air? Water or cleaner? Do you use shine on the engine bay? Obviously micro fiber cloths...

Tom, to check for polarity on the speakers, take a d cell battery, and touch one wire on the positive terminal and take the remaining wire to the negative terminal. This will cause you speaker to "pop". Look at the direction the woofer goes. If it comes out, then the wire on your positive lead of the battery is + and the other is the negative. If the woofer goes in, then your wires are reversed. Good luck. Call me if you have any issues.

Engine Bay - I use Amazing Roll Off or Meg's 101 diluted down. Spray on a cold engine (spraying on a hot engine will only burn off the chemicals and possibly discolor things), let it sit for a few minutes (or whatever the mfg says on the directions), then use a brush to agitate and the rinse off with a LOW pressure hose. You really don't need micro fibers onder the hood. Save those for your shinny painted surfaces.

Ok, got one speaker out, ripped it out of the plastic housing, snipped and filed the extra plastic inside, and mounted the new speaker in the factory housing. Going to test polarity now...
