Modded V6 Camaro (LFX) vs Stock S2000 (AP2)
So, I'm down visiting family for Thanksgiving, pulled into the driveway next to my mom's S2000 and it got me to thinking...
Who would win in a drag, and on the track? And which one would you prefer to own? My mom's completely stock S2000: My modded Camaro: Mods are listed below. I have 278 horses at the wheels. Don't know what she has to the wheels. I have a major weight disadvantage as well as a major handling disadvantage.... Thoughts?

Not sure how the numbers shake out....
As far as Mom goes, I would let her win although she may want you to win. That would be a funny drag race both trying to let the other win. BTW, both cars look really nice!!! |

I raced one. I barely pulled but I won by a nose. The S2k I raced was an AP1 with intakes and full exhaust. Those cars don't see any gains unless tuned for the parts. On average they Dyno between 210 whp to 220 whp. With your mods it wlshoukd be close.

Drag race it should be close. On a track, I'd say the S2k has the advantage. Looking at a compatible Camaro to the S2K, I would rather own the Camaro. I almost bought an S2K a while back, but I did not fit in one and the lack of an adjustable steering wheel killed the driving experience for me.

If you factor in all my mods (even cosmetics) I've still undercut what she paid for her S2000 by about a grand.

Maybe with a great driver behind the wheel. I've never seen one break 14.5 personally. It was also one of the most disappointing cars I've ever driven. I was really looking forward to driving it, but there was no power until around 7000rpm, which seems ok since it revs up to 9000rpm but it just doesn't feel right when you're driving it IMO. It handles really well but even then if you throw it in too high of gear after a corner, there's no powering through that gear because until you're up in the powerband, there's no power at all.
