I found an SS 2010 with 46k miles for $21,790. It's automatic transmission which is good for me but it's like a hour and half away in jersey. Those stats sound good or ya'll think I can find a better deal?

I think you can do better. 46k is a bit of miles. There are so many of these cars with low mileage, I would wait and find one. Plus, no offense to 2010 owners, but that's a first year car. GM made some improvements on later years.

i.e.; very early 2010's did not come with backup sensors or HUD. 2011's came with HUD and backup sensors standard (perhaps 1LT and 1SS did not come with HUD standard?). IIRC: Backup camera was NOT an option on any MY until 2012. 2LT and 2SS models came with HUD, bluetooth, usb connectivity, etc. 1LT and 1SS did not come with any of these (perhaps only as an option?). Non-RS equipped vehicles do not come with HIDS, prior to 2012, Non-RS Camaros had darkened tail lights. Navigation wasn't an option until the 2013 MY. Several difference which could cost quite a bit to add on if you buy a MY you might only be vaguely familar with the equipment it should or does not come with standard. If you didn't know about it, you can bone up on this page: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/wiki.p...le=CAMARO+WIKI& The BEST way to approach this is to visit a few dealers and actually sit in and test drive a few of the MY's you might be interested in. You don't have to buy them, but you should check them out in person to become somewhat more famiiar with them in addition to reading.

I am 6'3" and i have a 2013 with a sunroof and i can hit my head on the roof if the seat is not adjusted correctly. But I do want to encourage you to not be afraid to teach yourself how to drive stick with an SS. Like stated before with the huge amount of torque these cars have at a low engine speed you can practically drop the clutch anyway you want without stalling the car. The hardest thing to learn with a stick is starting from a dead stop the rest is easy. Drive to your skill level, don't try to do a big burnout and slam gears if you don't know how the car will react. These machines deserve respect, they are powerful and speed just makes everything happen faster. Out of the 5 cars i have owned with sticks and of the many different cars as a dealership mechanic the camaro has been one of the easiest!

Also I found my 2013 on March 8th 2015 with only 6900 miles. Low mile cars are out there . Mine happened to show up at my local dealership only 5 miles from the house.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place. I like the 10 SS and I like a 13 LT, I love the look, that's what drew me in, but everyone is telling me to get the SS but the SS doesn't have the some of the features of the 13 that I like such as the mylink. In all honesty, I don't care about engine power, the only reason I brought this up is because they are similarly price. Muscle/Sports cars are about the power and I can't go wrong with the SS but what about the new features of the 13 and it's newer as well. I don't know guys, some help or advice would be much appreciated.

My '10 has been trouble free since I got it. I can truthfully say that I've not had any need whatsoever to take back to the shop for warranty work or extensive repairs. Granted I've replaced many stock parts with upgrades. It feels better today than when I got it...
That said, you know you're getting a good, solid, reliable car with the '10. Now, the V8, if you haven't test drove it yet, is going to blow you away. Its not about racing or anything of the sort. You are just going to love the feel. It is so easy to get up to speed, it purrs so nicely while cruising. And if you need to pass, well... it just goes. Add some suspension work and it'll be the best ride you've ever had! I've not drove the V6 but I did have a '99 V8 Z28 in the past with about the same power as today's V6's stock... the difference between then and now is night and day, similar i assume to what the difference will be between engines. My recommendation is for you to go with the SS. You will not look back, even if it is a '10. The extras between a 10 and a 13 are miniscule compared to the difference between the V6 and V8 I think. I know its a toss up right now for you... ultimately, go with what your heart tells you. |

Check gen5diy you can add a mylink to the pre '13s --- I plan on doing it to mind some time this year. Other then that if the price is right I'd jump on the SS and skip the LT - you'll kick yourself if you want a V8 and settle for a V6

What's it cost to fill it up and what gas do you use? I'm probably gonna get the SS 10 in the coming weeks.

With gas at around $4, its about $60 to fill up. Get the SS... if its a manual, at cruising speeds you can get some great mileage for a V8! Good luck with your purchase...
